Note: I have noticed that the KEYWORD to look at in many filter performance claims is REDUCTION. Deliberate low levels of certain substances may be supplied in some tests in order to produce such results. Manufacturers can make higher claims by lowering the rating (How many gallons it will service before needing replacement ) on the very same filter. The whole thing is confusing and whatever system you choose must be maintained. I suggest a good working Reverse Osmosis system that actually REMOVES OVER 95% of these and other dangerous chemical elements. These systems require maintenance regularly, once a year.

Surprisingly, what is most important to people is flavor and if they don't taste chlorine they perceive that as "clean".

In Fact: Good, "pure" water is quite boring to most, having literally no taste at all. Mineral water is yummy simply because it is full of rocks and many bottled pure waters add ingredients to make it's flavour unique to that brand.

Proper consideration for some households, is cost effectiveness, over a period of time.
